This is the third sign I did for my Trader Joe's application.  Watercolor and ink on paper.

Gilding on Bronze

I had the amazing opportunity to spend this last week working at the Bronzesmith Fine Art Foundry and Gallery http://www.bronzesmith.com/, gilding onto the stunning sculptures of Tammy Garcia, renowned Southwestern sculptor and artist.  This panel is over 5 feet tall.  The shine is the gilding I added.  See her work and bio here: http://www.blueraingallery.com/artists/tammy_garcia

Trader Joe's Signs

Trader Joe's store is opening soon here, and I developed these signs to go with my application.  I got an interview, but not the job.  Oh, well.  Working on chalk was fun and something new for me.  I bought a "chalk board" acrylic paint at Home Depot and painted it onto hard board pieces.  I used pastels and chalk board markers from Michael's for the actual work.

 at Chewonki, a small school in the woods of Maine.  

This is a T-shirt the students asked me to design for them.

Wedding Envelopes, Spencerian Lettering

These lovely Crane envelopes were done with walnut ink in the Spencerian style of lettering.  What a wonderful introduction to Christina's upcoming wedding. Congrats!
